В Филадельфии отметили 120-лет со дня основания Русского Православного Собора Святого Андрея Первозванного.

30 апреля в г. Филадельфия, штат Пенсильвания, США состоялось празднование 120-летия со дня основания прихода Русского Православного Собора Святого Андрея Первозванного.

В день годовщины в храме состоялось праздничное богослужение и крестный ход, за которым последовал праздничный обед. В мероприятии приняли участие представители высшего духовенства православной церкви в США, посольства Российской Федерации в США, “Ассоциации русскоязычных профессионалов” (RSPN), русскоязычного сообщества, а также историки и эксперты в области исследований о жизни русской эмиграции за границей.

 8 апреля 2017 года впервые в г. Филадельфия состоится Тотальный диктант по русскому языку. Международная образовательная акция «Тотальный диктант» пройдет в 800 городах по всему миру. В этом году к диктанту присоединились 37 российских городов, а также 287 зарубежных из 72 стран. Регистрация на площадке проведения Тотального диктанта проходит на сайте totaldict.ru. Начало мероприятия: 8 апреля в 15:30 по адресу – 700 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19145-2392 South Philadelphia Library.
